SEARCH COMMITTEE UPDATE

Dear Holy Trinity Church Family,

As mentioned in our last correspondence, we are pleased to share that we have reached the fourth step in the search process for our next minister. The Search Committee, which was installed in September 2025, has completed a thoughtful and deliberate parish assessment and has now moved into the active search phase.

We are encouraged to report that we have already received interest from several prospective candidates, and we remain hopeful that additional inquiries will come as the search continues. While this is an exciting milestone, the call of a new rector is a careful and deliberate process that requires patience, prayer, and faithful discernment. We ask for your continued understanding as we allow God to guide each step of this journey.

Most importantly, we ask that you continue to pray for the members of the Search Committee, for our parish family, and for the priest whom God is preparing to lead Holy Trinity into its next chapter of ministry. We trust that, in God’s perfect timing, He is already at work preparing both our parish and the person He is calling to serve among us.

As we continue through the OTM process, we also welcome your assistance. If you know of an Episcopal priest whom you believe may be a strong candidate for Holy Trinity, we encourage you to speak with that individual about our opening and invite them to prayerfully consider submitting their profile through the Diocese of Mississippi or the Office for Transition Ministry. Recommendations may also be shared confidentially with the Search Committee Chair (Joe Giambrone).

Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support. We remain confident that God is faithfully leading us through this season of discernment and look forward with hope to the future He has prepared for Holy Trinity.

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously upon this congregation and all who serve on the search committee. Grant us wisdom, patience, and spiritual discernment as we seek the priest whom you are calling to serve among us. Guide our conversations, our listening, and our decisions, that we may be attentive to the movement of your Holy Spirit. Bless those who feel called to this ministry and prepare the heart of the one whom you are calling to be our shepherd. Unite us in faith, hope, and love, and lead us into the future you have prepared for this parish. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
